Hemp fabric comes from the hemp plant, a highly sustainable and low impact crop that requires very little water (1/4th of the water required to grow cotton), no pesticides, and returns 60-70% of the nutrients it takes from the soil. The hemp plant is also extremely regenerative, as it grows quickly and densely with very little to no maintenance. The exterior is 100% organic and sustainable hemp with a matching belt made from hemp webbing.
Deadstock is fabric that is no longer useful to companies and is sold off due to various reasons including overstock, not meeting aesthetic requirements or no longer in season. Because the fabric is a remnant of a larger roll that is no longer in production, we are saving energy and resources needed by purchasing a fabric already in existence, rather than creating something new.
